  1. It’s completely normal to feel anxious before your first ACCA exam, but it sounds like you’re well on your way! Here are some tips to help you feel more prepared:

    1. Review the Essentials: Focus on understanding key concepts and principles in the syllabus. Make sure you are comfortable with the core topics.

    2. Practice Past Papers: Working through past exam papers is one of the best ways to prepare. It helps you get familiar with the format and the types of questions that may come up.

    3. Key Areas to Focus On:

    4. Understand the Accounting equation, double-entry Bookkeeping, and financial statements.
    5. Be familiar with key financial ratios and their interpretations.
    6. Brush up on key concepts such as accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.

    7. Exam Technique: Practice answering questions under timed conditions. Be sure to read each question carefully and plan your time accordingly during the exam.

    8. Revision Notes: Create concise revision notes or flashcards for quick revision of important concepts and definitions.

    9. Stay Calm and Take Breaks: Make sure you take regular breaks while studying to avoid burnout. Maintain a balanced schedule.

    10. Ask Questions: If there are specific areas you’re unsure about, don’t hesitate to ask for clarification from peers or educators.

    11. Mindset and Relaxation Techniques: Incorporate relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or meditation, to help manage your anxiety on the day of the exam.

Remember, you’ve put in the work by covering the syllabus, and confidence comes with preparation. Good luck on your exam! You’ve got this!
