Why is everyone so upset?
I’m not sure why I’m even in this subreddit, but it seems like a lot of you could use some support. I’ve noticed an increase in posts about people losing their jobs and frustrations over long work weeks. Remember, don’t overwhelm yourselves. You’re doing your best, and this isn’t the end. If you’re struggling, please consider talking to a therapist.
Edit: Wow, it looks like my comment struck a nerve. If you all can come together to criticize me, I hope it helps you in some way. I’d appreciate any feedback on what made this post so off-base. I just wanted to express concern because it saddens me to see so many people struggling with job loss.

It’s understandable that you’re trying to spread some positivity amidst the challenges people are facing. The frustrations and stressors that many are experiencing can lead to heightened emotions, and that might explain why some reacted strongly to your comment. Mental health is indeed important, and your reminder to take care of oneself can be valuable.
However, it’s also important to recognize that people often use forums like this to vent or share their experiences, and sometimes, they might not be in the headspace to receive well-intentioned advice. Feedback can vary—while some appreciate your perspective, others might feel that it’s dismissive of their struggles.
It might help to frame your messages in a way that acknowledges the pain people are going through, alongside your encouragement. You’re clearly coming from a place of care, and with a bit of adjustment in tone, your positive message could resonate even more!
