The Most Unusual Document Submissions: A Call for Your Stories
As professionals, we’ve all encountered various quirks in our work, but one of the most amusing—and sometimes frustrating—challenges can come from how clients choose to submit documents. It’s often the unexpected methods that leave us scratching our heads, wondering how we ended up with the files we received.
For instance, one of my most memorable experiences involved a client who sent me a picture of a PDF displayed on their iPad. To add to the confusion, the image was captured using a Samsung phone and then emailed to me. Unfortunately, we still had to go through the process of manually entering that invoice into our system.
I can’t help but wonder, what are some of the strangest ways you’ve received documents from clients? Have you gotten handwritten notes that were nearly impossible to decipher? Perhaps you’ve encountered upside-down scans or files that were saved with generic names like “Image(345).jpg”?
I’m currently gathering anecdotes for a project aimed at resolving the chaos that often accompanies document submissions. I’d love to hear your experiences! You’re not alone in dealing with these bizarre situations, and your stories might just highlight the need for a more streamlined process in our industry. So, let’s share our tales from the front lines of document chaos!
