What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever received a document from a client?

The Most Bizarre Ways We’ve Received Documents from Clients

As professionals in any field, we’ve likely all encountered moments of bewilderment when it comes to document submissions from clients. Each unique instance can leave us scratching our heads while simultaneously trying to navigate the complexities of our tasks.

I’d like to kick off this discussion by sharing one particularly memorable experience: a client once sent me a photograph of a PDF displayed on their iPad. What made this even more perplexing was that the photo was taken with a Samsung phone and sent via email. To add to the irony, we had to manually process that invoice after receiving it. Talk about a roundabout way to submit important paperwork!

I’m curious to hear from others – what’s the strangest or most frustrating document submission you’ve encountered? Perhaps it was a handwritten note, a scan that came out upside down, or an attachment mysteriously titled “Image(345).jpg.”

I’m in the midst of brainstorming ideas to streamline our document handling processes, so please share your stories. It would be reassuring to know that I’m not navigating this chaotic landscape alone! Let’s dive into the challenges we face in our quest for efficient communication and document management.
