Unusual Document Submissions: Share Your Stories!
Communication in the business world can sometimes lead to unexpected—and inevitably amusing—moments. As professionals, we often rely on technology to facilitate document exchange. However, there are times when client submissions border on the bewildering.
I’d like to kick things off with a memorable experience I had: Once, a client sent me an image of a PDF displayed on their iPad. To add to the peculiarity, the photo was taken with a Samsung phone! Consequently, we had to manually process that invoice. It was a surreal reminder of how creative document submissions can be.
I’m curious to hear your experiences. Have you encountered any particularly odd or frustrating document submissions? Perhaps you’ve received handwritten notes, upside-down scans, or files with cryptic names like “Image(345).jpg.”
Share your tales in the comments! I’m gathering these stories as part of a project aimed at addressing the chaos surrounding document handling. Rest assured, I’m not trying to sell anything—just reaching out to see if anyone else has navigated similar challenges. Let’s commiserate together!
