The Most Unusual Ways Clients Deliver Documents: Share Your Stories!
In the digital age, one might expect that document delivery would be a streamlined process. However, the reality can often be quite the opposite! We’ve all encountered some bizarre methods of document submission from clients that leave us scratching our heads. Today, I’d like to open the floor for you to share your most unconventional experiences.
Let me kick things off with my own story: there was a time when a client sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, and to make things even more perplexing, it was taken using a Samsung phone! This resulted in a rather convoluted process, as we had to manually process the invoice from that image. Talk about a challenge!
Now, I know I can’t be the only one with tales of document delivery gone awry. Perhaps you’ve received:
– Handwritten notes that are nearly illegible,
– Scans that appear upside down,
– Files saved under nonsensical names like “Image(345).jpg,” or even
– Documents sent via social media direct messages instead of email.
I’m compiling these anecdotes while working on a project aimed at addressing the chaos of document submissions. This isn’t a pitch—just a humble request to know that I’m not navigating this strange territory alone.
So, what are some of the strangest or most frustrating ways you’ve received documents? Let’s share your experiences and commiserate over the humorous sides of document chaos!
