What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever received a document from a client?

The Most Unconventional Ways Clients Deliver Documents: Share Your Stories!

As professionals, we’ve all encountered our fair share of unique document submissions from clients. Some submissions may leave us shaking our heads in disbelief, while others may even elicit a chuckle.

Let me share one of the most peculiar experiences I’ve had: A client sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad. They took this picture with a Samsung phone and promptly emailed it over. As a result, we had to manually process that invoice, which was certainly less than ideal.

This got me thinking: what are some of the oddest or most challenging document submissions you’ve come across in your line of work? From handwritten notes to scans that are upside down, or perhaps a file creatively labeled “Image(345).jpg,” I want to hear your stories.

I’m currently gathering anecdotes to help inspire a project aimed at simplifying this chaotic process. This isn’t a sales pitch; I genuinely want to know that I’m not the only one dealing with these unusual submissions!

So, what’s your experience? Please share your stories in the comments below!
