Bizarre Document Submissions: Share Your Stories!
In the world of client communication and document handling, we often encounter some rather peculiar situations. I’d like to kick things off with a humorous yet frustrating experience I had not too long ago. Imagine this: a client sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, which they had snapped using their Samsung phone and then promptly emailed to me. Yes, you read that right!
Unfortunately, this meant that we still had to manually process that invoice, which could have easily been sent as a straightforward PDF attachment.
This got me thinking about the various unconventional ways documents can be submitted. From handwritten notes to upside-down scans and even files mysteriously named “Image(345).jpg,” the creativity (or lack thereof) is astounding.
I invite you to share your own experiences with bizarre document submissions. What’s the most memorable or ridiculous way you’ve received important files from clients? Did you ever get an illegible handwritten note when you were expecting a formal proposal, or a jumbled assortment of images that seemed to have no relation to each other?
As I gather these stories, I’m also exploring ways to streamline and improve this chaotic phenomenon of document exchanges. I’m not selling anything here; I just want to relate to others who have faced the same puzzling challenges. Let’s commiserate and share laughs over our most unusual submissions! Your tales could contribute to finding better solutions for all of us navigating this chaotic world of client documents.
