What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever received a document from a client?

The Most Outlandish Ways Clients Have Sent Documents

We all know that working with clients can sometimes lead to unexpected surprises, particularly when it comes to document submissions. It’s often hard to fathom the lengths people will go to in order to share important files. Today, I invite you to reflect on the most unconventional or downright perplexing methods you’ve encountered when receiving documents from clients.

For instance, I had an amusing experience with one client who took the cake: they sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, captured using a Samsung phone, and chose to email it to me. Despite the current age of technology, we still found ourselves having to manually process that invoice. Talk about a unique approach!

Have you experienced any bizarre document submissions? Perhaps you’ve received a handwritten note, an upside-down scan, or a file humorously titled “Image(345).jpg.” Whatever the case may be, I’m intrigued to hear your stories!

This isn’t a pitch to promote a solution; rather, I’m gathering anecdotes for a project designed to tackle some of the chaos surrounding document submissions. I want to know that I’m not alone in this journey!

Share your tales of the most absurd or unexpected document deliveries. Let’s commiserate over the hilarity and frustration that often accompany our work.
