What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever received a document from a client?

The Quirks of Document Submission: Share Your Bizarre Experiences

In the world of client communications, we’ve all encountered the peculiar and amusing ways documents can be delivered. Today, I want to shine a light on some of these oddities—and invite you to share your own stories.

Allow me to share my personal experience first: there was a time when a client sent me a photograph of a PDF displayed on their iPad. To add to the absurdity, the picture was taken using a Samsung phone and then emailed to me. As you can imagine, we still had to manually process that invoice, which was quite the inefficiency!

Now, I’m curious to hear about your own encounters. Have you ever received a document that was handwritten or maybe an upside-down scan? Have you opened a file named “Image(345).jpg” only to discover it was something critical?

As I’m gathering these tales, I’m working on a project aimed at simplifying and improving the chaos of document submissions. This is not a sales pitch; I’m simply hoping to alleviate the isolation that can come from these bizarre experiences.

Please share your stories below! Let’s commiserate over the oddities of document handling and maybe even find some humor in them together.
