What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever received a document from a client?

Bizarre Document Submissions: Tales from the Client Side

In the world of client communications, we’ve all experienced our fair share of unconventional document submissions. It’s often a test of patience and creativity as we try to make sense of the unexpected methods our clients choose to deliver important files.

Allow me to share a particularly amusing incident from my experience. A client once emailed me a photograph of a PDF displayed on their iPad. To make things even more interesting, the photo was snapped with a Samsung phone. This rather creative submission required us to manually process the invoice, which was far from ideal but certainly memorable!

Naturally, I’m not alone in this. Many of us have encountered documents submitted in the most peculiar ways. Whether it’s a handwritten note, a scan that’s upside down, or a file named “Image(345).jpg,” the diversity of these experiences is often entertaining, albeit frustrating at times.

I’m curious to hear from others in the field: What’s the most bizarre or challenging document submission you’ve received? I’m gathering stories to better understand the chaos we all endure in handling client communications. I assure you, this is not a pitch for a new product or service; I simply want to know that I’m not navigating this alone.

Share your stories in the comments below, and let’s delve into the creative solutions we find in this sometimes chaotic process!
