The Most Bizarre Document Submission Stories: Share Yours!
As a professional, the way we exchange documents with clients can sometimes lead to some genuinely amusing and bewildering experiences. I thought it would be interesting to share a few amusing anecdotes while also inviting others to chime in with their own stories about the strangest ways they’ve received documents from clients.
To kick things off with my personal experience: I once received a document from a client in the most unconventional manner—through a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, which they had captured using a Samsung phone. Not only was this a roundabout way to share a document, but it also required us to manually process the invoice they intended to send.
Now, I can’t be the only one who has encountered strange submissions! Have you received any unusual documents? Perhaps something handwritten, a poorly scanned page, or a file simply titled “Image(345).jpg”? Whatever it might be, I’d love to hear your stories.
I’m compiling these experiences in an effort to brainstorm more efficient ways to handle document submissions. This is not about promoting a product or service; I simply want to connect with others in the field and realize that we all face similar challenges in document management. So, feel free to share your tales in the comments! Let’s turn these chaotic moments into some much-needed laughter.
