The Most Unconventional Ways Clients Have Submitted Documents
In the realm of client communication, the ways in which documents are submitted can often be quite astonishing. As a professional, I’ve certainly encountered my fair share of bizarre and unconventional methods of document delivery. Let me share one particularly memorable experience: a client once sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, captured with a Samsung phone, and then emailed that image to me. Believe it or not, we still had to process that invoice manually.
This got me thinking about the myriad of strange document submissions that exist out there. From handwritten notes to upside-down scans and files whimsically renamed “Image(345).jpg,” the sheer creativity in how documents can be presented is often unfathomable.
So, what are some of the oddest document submissions you’ve come across in your professional journey? Perhaps you’ve received a fax that was upside down or an attachment that was poorly scanned and barely legible.
I’m currently gathering stories in an effort to tackle these chaotic submission methods with a viable solution. This isn’t a pitch for a new product; I’m just hoping to find some common ground and reassurance that I’m not alone in navigating this perplexing landscape.
Please share your experiences in the comments below! Let’s bring some humor to the often frustrating world of document management.
