What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever received a document from a client?

The Most Bizarre Document Submissions: Share Your Stories

As professionals, we often come across unique and sometimes puzzling ways clients choose to send us important documents. Whether it’s a simple invoice or a detailed project brief, the method of delivery can range from the conventional to the downright bizarre.

I’d like to share one memorable experience of my own: once, a client sent me a photograph of a PDF displayed on their iPad, which they had taken with a Samsung phone and then emailed to me. To my surprise, we still had to manually process that invoice!

This got me thinking—what are the oddest or most perplexing document submissions you’ve encountered? Have you ever received a handwritten note, a scan that was upside down, or a document that was simply titled “Image(345).jpg”?

I’m currently gathering stories to highlight the chaos that often surrounds document submissions. It’s not a project pitch; rather, I’m seeking reassurance that I’m not alone in facing these quirky yet frustrating situations.

So, what’s your story? Share your experiences in the comments and help shine a light on this delightful side of client interactions!
