The Most Unusual Ways Clients Deliver Documents: Share Your Stories!
In our line of work, we often encounter strange and unconventional methods of document submission from clients. It’s both amusing and perplexing how some people choose to deliver crucial paperwork. I recently had a memorable experience that I think many professionals can relate to.
Not too long ago, one of my clients sent me a peculiar document—a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, which they took with a Samsung phone. To top it off, they decided to email me this snapshot. As you might imagine, this led to some unnecessary manual processing of the invoice, resulting in extra time and effort on our part.
Now, I’m curious to gather more insights from fellow professionals in the industry. What is the most bizarre or difficult document submission you’ve encountered? Perhaps it’s a handwritten note, a series of upside-down scans, or a file obnoxiously named “Image(345).jpg.” Whatever it is, I’d love to hear your stories!
I’m currently working on something that aims to streamline document submissions and reduce these chaotic scenarios. I’m not promoting any product here; I simply want to reassure myself that I’m not navigating this wild document landscape alone. So, share your tales of unconventional document submissions! Let’s commiserate together and perhaps learn a thing or two about improving the process.
