The Most Unconventional Ways Clients Send Documents: A Conversation Starter
As professionals, we often encounter a myriad of unexpected challenges in our work, and one of the more amusing yet frustrating aspects can be the methods clients choose to submit documents. It’s amazing how creative some can get when it comes to sharing important information.
Let me share a particularly humorous experience I had. One client decided to send me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, but here’s the kicker—they snapped the picture with a Samsung phone and then emailed it over. Unsurprisingly, this led to the tedious task of manually processing an invoice that ideally should have been straightforward.
I’m sure many of you can relate to such bizarre document submissions. The spectrum of unusual ways clients have delivered their files is vast—ranging from handwritten notes to upside-down scans, or even files renamed as “Image(345).jpg” that leave us scratching our heads in confusion.
I’d love to hear your stories too! What’s the oddest or most frustrating document submission you’ve dealt with? Sharing these anecdotes not only sheds light on the chaos we often navigate but also reminds us that we’re not alone in our experiences.
Join me in this conversation as we gather stories and perhaps find ways to remedy these situations. Your input could be valuable in shaping ideas for better document handling practices in the future!
