The Unconventional Ways Clients Deliver Documents: A Call for Your Stories
In the world of professional services, receiving documents from clients can sometimes lead to quite a few head-scratching moments. We’ve all experienced that rare, amusing, or even frustrating situation when a client delivers a document in the most unconventional manner.
I’ll share one of my personal favorites: a client once sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, taken with a Samsung phone. They then proceeded to email me this snapshot. As you might imagine, we had to manually process the invoice, which could have easily been sent as a proper attachment.
Now, I want to open the floor to you. What’s the most bizarre or frustrating document submission you’ve encountered? I’m talking about anything from handwritten notes that require deciphering, upside-down scans, or files renamed as “Image(345).jpg.”
As I compile experiences for an ongoing project aimed at simplifying document submissions, I’m eager to know that I’m not navigating this chaos alone. Share your stories—let’s commiserate over our unique challenges!
