The Most Unconventional Document Submissions: Share Your Stories!
In the world of client communications, the way documents are submitted can sometimes lead to a display of ingenuity—or confusion. We’ve all encountered unusual methods of receiving important paperwork that might leave us scratching our heads.
I’ll kick things off with a memorable experience: a client once sent me a photo of a PDF displayed on their iPad, captured with their Samsung phone, and then emailed it to me. Surprisingly, this meant that we ended up having to process the invoice manually—definitely not the most efficient way to handle an important document!
Now, I would love to hear your stories. What’s the strangest or most perplexing method you’ve experienced when receiving documents? I’m talking about everything from handwritten notes and upside-down scans to files whimsically named “Image(345).jpg.”
I’m gathering these anecdotes for a project aimed at streamlining document submissions, but mostly, I want to hear your experiences. Let’s share some laughs and commiserate; you’re certainly not alone in this wild world of client submissions!
