The Current Challenges in Graduate Recruitment: Retaining Talent in a Competitive Landscape
In recent weeks, our firm has faced a concerning trend: two recent graduates have resigned immediately after achieving their ACA qualification, marking a total of five departures in just one quarter. These talented individuals have opted for industry positions that offer more attractive compensation and benefits packages.
It’s hard not to notice that our efforts seem to be inadvertently preparing these graduates for roles in larger corporations that are eager to snatch them away. Despite our attempts to evolve our retention strategies, the reality is that we may be spinning our wheels. Current salary adjustments simply aren’t keeping up with the enticing offers they receive from other companies, and our recent partners meeting felt somewhat disheartening, as if we were collectively ignoring the underlying issue.
