Streamlining Your Small Business: The Benefits of Outsourcing Bookkeeping
Hello, fellow entrepreneurs!
As a small business owner generating approximately $10,000 in monthly revenue, I’ve recently been contemplating a shift in my approach to managing finances. Up until now, I’ve handled Bookkeeping and payroll on my own using QuickBooks. However, I’ve increasingly realized that this task is consuming an enormous amount of my time—nearly two full days each month dedicated solely to payroll. With hourly payments involved, every detail requires meticulous recalculation and invoice generation, which can be quite tedious.
Currently, I turn to a freelance CPA during tax season for assistance, but I’m considering the prospect of outsourcing my Bookkeeping and payroll on a more permanent basis to a specialized small Bookkeeping firm.
This raises several questions: What should I prioritize in my search for the right bookkeeper? Is the investment—about $2,000 monthly as observed in my area—worth it for my business?
I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice from fellow small business owners who have undergone a similar transition. What experiences can you share?
Thank you for your guidance!
