second interview invitation with the same interviewers for the same position at JPM

Subject: Clarification on Interview Invitation

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an update regarding my interview process with JPM. Two weeks ago, I completed my first round interview for a position there, and today I received an invitation for the same role with the same group of interviewers. However, the invitation does not specify whether this is a second round interview.

I’ve also tried reaching out to the recruiter from my previous interview, but I haven’t received a response yet.

Do you think this could be a mistake on the HR side? I’m feeling a bit confused about the situation. Any insights would be appreciated!

  1. It’s understandable to feel confused in this situation. It’s not uncommon for companies, especially large ones like JPM, to have internal processes that may not always be clear to candidates. Here are a few possibilities to consider:

    1. Second Interview: It could be a second interview, even if it wasn’t explicitly labeled as such. Sometimes, companies may not clearly differentiate between rounds in their communication.

    2. Clarification Needed: It’s also possible that the invitation was sent in error, or they might want to revisit specific points from your first interview.

    3. Networking or Feedback Session: Occasionally, companies will bring candidates back in an informal capacity for additional discussions or to meet more team members.

The best course of action is to follow up with the recruiter if you haven’t received a response. You can also reply to the interview invitation seeking clarification on whether this is a second interview and expressing your enthusiasm for the opportunity. Good luck!
