Exploring Real Estate Audit Career Path

I’m currently a trainee in insurance Audit at one of the Big 5 firms in London and will soon be qualifying with my ACA. I’m considering a transition into real estate Audit, especially since I’ve learned that my colleague works with various REITs and funds, which aligns with my passion for finance. Additionally, I’m studying for my CFA and have a few questions:

  • Is a career in real estate audit promising, particularly in terms of transitioning into finance roles like equity research, compared to insurance audit?

  • How relevant would experience in real estate audit be alongside my CFA and three years of experience in insurance audit?

  • What is the real estate audit field like, and what opportunities might it offer?
