Please help don’t know what to do

I really need some advice. I’m currently working at a call center for a large company, and while I obtained my Series 63, I unfortunately didn’t pass my Series 7. I’ve just returned to taking calls after training, and it’s been really tough. I have to wake up at 5:30 AM, and honestly, I’m struggling to keep going. I had planned to apply for new jobs after passing the Series 7, but now I’m uncertain about my next steps. Should I wait the full 30 days before reapplying, or should I start searching for other opportunities now? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

  1. It sounds like you’re in a tough spot, and it’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed. Here are a few suggestions that might help you move forward:

    1. Evaluate Your Situation: Take some time to assess how much longer you can handle the current job. If it’s making you truly miserable, your mental health is important and should be a priority.

    2. Consider Retaking the Series 7: If you’re still interested in a career in finance, think about how you can prepare for another attempt at the Series 7. It might help to find a study group or use different resources this time around.

    3. Start Networking: While you’re preparing for your next attempt, consider networking within the industry. Connect with others on LinkedIn or in person, and see if there might be entry-level positions that don’t require the Series 7 or that align with your skills.

    4. Look for Alternative Opportunities: You might not have to wait 30 days to apply for new jobs. Look for roles that leverage your experience but don’t necessarily require your Series 7, such as customer service in other sectors, administrative positions, or even sales roles.

    5. Update Your Resume: Use this time to refine your resume and make it stand out. Highlight your skills, experiences, and your Series 63 certification.

    6. Self-Care: Lastly, make sure to take care of yourself during this stressful time. Finding a routine that helps you manage stress, whether it’s exercise, meditation, or spending time with friends, can really help.

Good luck, and remember that it’s okay to make changes if you’re not happy!
