  1. I worked in a smaller PA firm in 2008, and it was definitely a unique time. The financial crisis was beginning to unfold, so there was a lot of uncertainty in the industry. Workloads were fluctuating, and many clients were cutting back on expenses, which affected the volume of projects we were able to take on.

In smaller firms, I found that teamwork and adaptability were essential. We had to be flexible with our roles as tasks shifted with client needs. The atmosphere was collaborative, with everyone pitching in to help each other out. There was also a noticeable focus on maintaining strong relationships with clients, as we wanted to reassure them during a tumultuous time.

Despite the challenges, it was also an opportunity for growth. We were encouraged to think creatively and find innovative solutions to help our clients navigate tough situations. Overall, while it was a challenging time, it also fostered a strong sense of community within the firm. What specific aspects are you curious about?
