Feeling Overwhelmed with SBR
I just started my SBR studies at the beginning of February, and I’m feeling really overwhelmed. I study every day, but the course provider I’m using, Mirchawala, has videos that last about 1.5 to 2 hours each. This means I lose almost my entire evening after work. I don’t have enough time to tackle past questions alongside the videos. While I understand the content presented, I often forget most of it by the following day.
At this pace, I’m on track to finish the study materials by May and then spend a month preparing for the exams. However, I worry I’ll feel completely lost and will have to “re-learn” everything by then. Initially, I tried Opentution, but I heard they don’t cover the existing FR material that I need to review.

It sounds like you’re in a tough spot, but it’s great that you’re dedicated to studying every day! Here are a few suggestions that might help with your overwhelm:
Chunk Your Study Sessions: Instead of trying to get through a full video in one sitting, consider breaking them down into shorter segments. This could help you retain information better and make it easier to fit study time into your daily schedule.
Active Recall and Summary: After watching a video, take a few minutes to summarize what you learned in your own words. This technique can help reinforce your memory and give you a better grasp of the material.
Integrate Practice Questions: Even if you’re watching long videos, try to integrate some practice questions related to what you just learned. This can improve your understanding and retention of the concepts.
Utilize Weekends: If your weekdays feel too packed, try to dedicate more time during the weekends to dive deeper into the material or catch up on study sessions.
Mind Maps or Flashcards: Create visual aids like mind maps or flashcards based on the videos. This can make review sessions more effective and fun.
Reach Out for Support: Don’t hesitate to ask fellow students or online forums for help with specific topics you’re struggling with. Sharing ideas and clarifying doubts can enhance your understanding.
Consider Alternative Resources: If you’re not finding Mirchawala’s approach suits your learning style, don’t hesitate to explore additional resources. Sometimes a different perspective can make all the difference.
Remember, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed, but stay positive and keep pushing forward. With consistency and the right strategies, you’ll be able to master the material! Good luck!
