On Feb 4th, I bought a 4 Week Treasury Bill that officially matures Apr 1st. Normally (as they have for years), TreasuryDirect deposits the bond amount on the day before maturity by no later than 6p EST. For the first time in the five years since I’ve been buying those bonds, I did not get paid.

  1. It sounds frustrating to not receive your payment as expected, especially after relying on the usual process for so long. Have you checked your TreasuryDirect account to see if there are any messages or updates regarding the transaction? Sometimes delays can occur for various reasons, and it’s worth reaching out to TreasuryDirect customer support for clarification on the situation. They should be able to provide you with information about why your payment was delayed and when you can expect it.
