Obu degree

Subject: Inquiry About OBU Degree

Hello everyone,

I’ve completed 11 exams and have just 2 final professional exams left. I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to apply for the OBU degree during Period 50. The deadline for the ethics module is coming up in 5 days, and I have yet to start it. I also don’t have any information about mentors.

Will there be another application period after this one? Should I consider finishing my last 2 exams first and submit my application later?

Thanks for your advice!

  1. It sounds like you’re in a pivotal stage of your qualification journey! Here are some thoughts to consider:

    1. OBU Degree Timing: If you’re in Period 50 and only have 2 exams left, you might want to check if you can still enroll before the deadline. You mentioned the ethics module deadline is in 5 days, so if you haven’t started it yet, completing it in time will be crucial.

    2. Mentorship: It’s essential to find a mentor for the OBU project. If you’re not familiar with the process, consider reaching out to peers or faculty who can help guide you through finding a mentor, as this can take some time.

    3. Future Periods: If you’re not confident about meeting the deadlines or completing the ethics module, it could be wise to wait until you’ve finished your last two exams. This would give you more time to prepare and ensure you can submit a strong application.

    4. Planning Ahead: Whatever you decide, make sure you have a plan in place for the ethics module and mentoring. If there will be future periods after Period 50, it’s a good idea to take the time needed to prepare well.

Ultimately, consider weighing your options based on your readiness and stress levels. Good luck!
