November 2027 CA Finals Preparation:
I cleared my CA Intermediate in January 2025, and I’m wondering when I should begin my preparation for the CA Finals. I currently have a lot of free time—should I start attending classes right away?
I haven’t started SPOM yet.
Here are my current subject choices:
- FR: Aakash Kandoi
- AFM: Nitin Guru
- Audit: Neeraj Arora
- DT: Bhanwar Borana
- IDT: ???
Any suggestions?

It’s great to hear that you’re planning ahead for the CA Finals in November 2027! Since you have a lot of free time right now, starting your preparation early can definitely give you an advantage. Here’s a suggested approach for your prep:
Start Early: It’s a good idea to start your preparation as soon as possible, especially since you cleared CA Inter in January 2025, giving you ample time before the finals.
Focus on Conceptual Understanding: Begin with the subjects you’re less familiar with, and make sure you have a strong grasp of the fundamentals. For instance, if you’re yet to start Strategic Management and Operations Management (SPOM), it might be beneficial to tackle it early on.
Reference Materials: Ensure you have good resources. It seems you’ve already got a list of faculty members for your subjects. Based on your preferences, I’d recommend finding a reliable faculty for Indirect Taxation (IDT) as well—perhaps look for reviews or suggestions from peers.
Create a Study Plan: Develop a structured study timetable that allows you to cover each subject adequately. Make sure to allocate time for revisions and practice questions.
Practice Regularly: Incorporate mock tests and previous years’ question papers into your study schedule. This will help you become familiar with the exam format and time management.
Join a Coaching Class: If you feel confident about heading to class immediately, that could greatly enhance your understanding, especially for complex topics. Joining a coaching class for subjects you find challenging could be very helpful.
Stay Updated: Keep yourself updated with any changes in the syllabus or exam pattern as you progress through your studies.
You’ve got this—stay consistent and focused! Good luck with your preparation!
