Need help finding a job

Job Search Assistance Needed

Hello everyone!

I’m nearing the completion of my Master’s in Accountancy from a US university and am actively seeking job opportunities. As my graduation approaches in December 2024, I’m also facing a time constraint with my visa expiring soon. If anyone has advice or leads on positions in Audit that offer work visa sponsorship, I would be incredibly grateful for your help! Thank you!

  1. Hi there!

Congratulations on nearing your graduation! It sounds like you’re in a challenging situation, but don’t lose hope—many people have faced similar hurdles. Here are a few suggestions that might help you in your job search:

    1. Networking: Connect with alumni from your university who are working in Audit or related fields. LinkedIn can be a great tool for this. Reach out to professionals, attend industry events, and join relevant groups to expand your network.

    2. Targeted Applications: Focus on companies known for sponsoring visas, such as the Big Four Accounting firms and mid-sized firms that have global operations. Research their application processes thoroughly.

    3. Local Job Boards: Check websites that specialize in jobs for international students and visa sponsorship, like Myvisajobs.com or H1Bdata.info. These can help you find companies that have successfully sponsored visas in the past.

    4. Career Services: Utilize your university’s career center. They can provide you with resources, job listings, and even connections to potential employers.

    5. Internships: If possible, look for internship opportunities that could lead to full-time positions. Even short-term roles can be valuable for gaining experience and building connections.

    6. Refine Your Application: Make sure your resume and cover letter are tailored for the positions you’re applying for. Highlight relevant skills and experiences that make you a strong candidate for Audit roles.

    7. Stay Positive: Keep a positive mindset throughout your job search. It can be tough, but persistence often pays off.

Good luck with your job hunt! If you have any more specific questions or need further help, feel free to ask.
