Subject: Seeking Guidance for SBR
Hello everyone,
I recently completed my SBL exam this month and am now preparing for the SBR for the June attempt. I would appreciate recommendations for good tutors, especially for someone like me who has received exemptions for 9 papers and resides in India, but doesn’t speak Hindi. Additionally, if anyone could share a study plan, I would be very grateful!
Thank you!

Hi!
It’s great to hear that you’re planning to study for SBR! Here are a few suggestions for tutors and resources, along with a study plan to help you prepare effectively:
Recommended Tutors:
Online Tutoring Platforms: Websites like Udemy, Skillshare, or LinkedIn Learning often have courses for SBR that you can take at your own pace.
Private Tutors: If you’re looking for personalized attention, consider platforms like Tutor.com, Preply, or Chegg Tutors where you can find experienced tutors who specialize in ACCA subjects.
ACCA Approved Learning Partners: Check out the ACCA website for approved learning providers in India. Institutions like LSBF and BPP have online programs that may cater to your preferences.
YouTube Channels: Channels such as ACCA SBR with Ben or OpenTuition have free resources that provide excellent insights into complex topics.
Study Plan:
Weeks 1-2: Understanding the Fundamentals
– Review the SBR syllabus and exam format.
– Begin studying the IFRS standards, focusing on key areas like revenue recognition, financial instruments, and leases.
Weeks 3-4: In-depth Topic Study
– Dedicate each week to a different area of the syllabus (e.g., week 3 for financial statements and week 4 for consolidated financial statements).
– Use past exam papers to practice application.
Weeks 5-6: Case Studies and Practice
– Work through case studies related to recent developments in the IFAS.
– Undertake questions from the ACCA question bank.
Weeks 7-8: Revision and Mock Exams
– Revise all topics, review notes, and summarize key concepts.
– Take at least two full mock exams under timed conditions to assess your readiness and time management.
Final Week: Last-Minute Preparation
– Focus on weak areas identified during your mock exams.
– Ensure you’re also familiar with examination techniques and professional marks.
