Seeking advice – Taking CA Final DT and IDT classes simultaneously
I have the opportunity to attend both DT (3 hours) in the morning and IDT (1.5 hours) in the evening. Do you think this schedule will be too overwhelming? I will be working 60% of the days until my IT concludes.
For those who have recently taken the CA Final exam, I would appreciate your insights!

It’s great that you’re considering how to manage your study schedule effectively! Taking both Direct Taxation (DT) and Indirect Taxation (IDT) classes together can definitely be a challenge, especially with your office commitments.
Here are a few points to consider:
Class Intensity: A 3-hour class in the morning followed by a 1.5-hour class in the evening can be quite intensive, especially if you’re also balancing work. Make sure you’re comfortable with the workload involved.
Retention & Focus: After a long day at work, your ability to focus during IDT might be compromised. Consider how you typically handle long study sessions and if you need breaks in between to refresh.
Understanding the Subjects: DT and IDT have different concepts and applications. Juggling both subjects could lead to confusion unless you’re diligent about separating your study materials and notes.
Time for Revision: Make sure you allocate time for revision, as understanding and retention of both subjects are crucial for the exam.
Flexibility: Check if there’s an option to attend recorded classes or if you can catch up on any sessions if the intensity becomes overwhelming.
Peer Feedback: It might help to reach out to friends or colleagues who have recently completed CA Final to get their insights on managing both subjects simultaneously.
Ultimately, it’s about how you manage your time and maintain your focus. If you feel confident in your capacity to handle both alongside your office work, it could be a productive way to prepare. Just ensure you’re mindful of your well-being and academic needs! Good luck!
