JPMorgan London – Follow-up After Second Interview
Hi everyone!
I recently had an interview for a legal position at JPMorgan in London, where I have about 1.5 years of experience.
My first interview with a VP and an ED went really well, and I was excited to be invited for a second round with another ED the very next day.
While I didn’t feel as confident about the second interview compared to the first, I thought it went reasonably well.
At the end of the second interview, the interviewer mentioned, “HR will be in touch about the next steps,” similar to what was communicated after the first interview.
However, it’s now been 8 days, and I still haven’t received any updates. My application status remains “Under Consideration.”
Should I take this as a sign that they may be moving forward with other candidates, or is there still a chance?
I’d appreciate any insights you might have! Thank you!

Hey there!
I totally understand how frustrating it can be to wait for feedback, especially after getting through two interviews. Eight days might feel like a long time, but in the corporate world, it’s not uncommon for the hiring process to take longer than expected due to internal discussions, approvals, or other candidates still being interviewed.
While it’s natural to assume the worst, I wouldn’t give up hope just yet! Many organizations, especially large ones like JPMorgan, can take time to finalize decisions. If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to HR for a follow-up—just a polite message checking in on your application status could provide you with some clarity.
In the meantime, keep your options open and continue your job search. It’s always good to have multiple opportunities in the pipeline. Best of luck, and I hope you hear some positive news soon!
