I applied for a managerial position at a large bank back in late January and went through four rounds of interviews, but unfortunately, I didn’t get the job. Since then, I’ve noticed that the position has been reposted multiple times. It seems like the hiring manager is trying to keep the listing new and appealing, perhaps hoping to attract that “perfect” candidate—clearly, I didn’t make the cut.
While I’m not bothered about the rejection, I find it a bit distasteful that they keep reposting the role just to refresh it on job boards. Surely, they had qualified candidates from the previous listings.
Just out of curiosity; I’ve moved on to better opportunities!

It sounds like you’ve handled the situation with a lot of grace, and it’s great to hear you’ve moved on to better opportunities! It can definitely be frustrating to see a position reposted repeatedly, especially after going through multiple interview rounds. It’s possible that the hiring manager is looking for a very specific fit, or they may not have found the right candidate yet.
Reposting a job can sometimes come across as a lack of organization or indecision, but it’s also a common practice in recruitment, as you pointed out. The important thing is that you gave it your best shot, and it sounds like you’ve found something that excites you more. Keep focusing on the positives and best of luck with your new endeavors!
