Issues with getting PER signed off

Challenges with Getting PER Approved

Has anyone else faced difficulties getting their time logged in the ACCA portal signed off? I assigned my former manager as my PER supervisor, but he’s experiencing issues with signing off in the portal. When he tries to view my details, it appears greyed out.

Both he and I have reached out to ACCA for assistance, but unfortunately, we haven’t found a resolution. They’ve advised that my supervisor provide screenshots, but it feels like we’re going in circles with no progress.

I’m at a loss for who to approach for signing it off next. I asked our senior manager, but he seemed unwilling to help, and it’s even more complicated now that I’ve switched teams. I thought I could enlist my other supervisor, who is less senior, as it might be simpler. He initially agreed, but then ignored my follow-ups and never officially registered as my supervisor.

This whole process has really been disheartening, as I seem to encounter one obstacle after another with this qualification. 😭

  1. It sounds like you’re really going through a tough time with the PER process—I completely understand how frustrating it can be. You’re definitely not alone in facing these kinds of hurdles.

It might be worth considering a few strategies to move forward. Have you thought about reaching out to your former manager again, perhaps setting up a specific time to go through the ACCA portal together? Sometimes a quick call can clarify issues that email or screenshots might not get across.

Additionally, if your current team supports professional development, maybe you could speak with someone in HR or a team leader about your situation. They might be able to advocate for you or offer suggestions on how to resolve the issue.

If all else fails, perhaps consider reaching out to other ACCA members in your network for advice—they might have experienced something similar and could offer insights or solutions.

Hang in there! This is a tough step, but your determination will pay off. You’ve got this!
