Is my preparation status okie to appear for May-25 final exam?

Is my preparation status sufficient for the May 25 final exam?

I’m feeling uncertain about my readiness to take the G-2 exam on May 25, so I wanted to share my preparation progress:

  • IDT: I’m about 70% finished. I just need to complete the remaining classes and start revising concepts so I can tackle the questions.

  • DT: I haven’t started yet 🫤. I know it’s not great, but I’m still at square one with this subject.

For G-1, I have a decent understanding of the material and feel confident I can manage IBS.

I still need to complete my Set-C and Set-D exams.

Can anyone offer advice on whether it’s feasible for me to go ahead with the May exam, or should I consider waiting for November? I’m doubting my ability to handle both groups in one sitting.

  1. Based on your preparation status, it sounds like you still have quite a bit to cover before the May-25 exam, especially with DT (Direct Taxation) yet to be started. Here are some thoughts and suggestions:

    1. IDT (Indirect Taxation): It’s great that you’re 70% through IDT and are planning to focus on revisions soon. Make sure you prioritize understanding the key concepts and practice problem-solving.

    2. DT: Since you haven’t started on DT yet, this is something to take seriously. You’ll need to allocate enough time to not only study the material but also to practice.

    3. G-1 Knowledge: Knowing some material for G-1 is definitely a plus, but it might not be enough if you’re aiming for both groups. Ensure you have a solid grasp on those key areas you need to manage IBS.

    4. Exams Set-C and Set-D: Completing these exams will also require time and focus, as they can help with your understanding and application of the concepts.

Considering all of this, it’s definitely a challenge to prepare for two groups in one sitting, especially with the limited time left. If you feel uncertain about your ability to manage both groups and time is tight, it might be worth considering focusing on just one group this attempt, ensuring you can perform well rather than stretching yourself too thin.

If you’re committed to both groups, devise a strict study schedule, set clear goals for each subject, and stick to it. Make sure to incorporate regular revisions and practice tests to gauge your understanding.

Trust your instincts about your readiness. If you feel too rushed and uncertain, it might be wiser to aim for Nov-25 instead of compromising your performance. Whatever you decide, make a plan and be disciplined in your approach. Best of luck!
