IBS Exemption Question
I’ve only focused on preparing for Group 1 of the CA Final. Is it still possible for me to aim for an exemption in IBS? I’ve completed the classes for DT and half of IDT for Group 2, but I’m concerned that studying for Group 2 might negatively impact my Group 1 preparation. Any advice on what I should do would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you’re in a challenging situation with your CA Final preparations. If you’ve only prepared for Group 1 and are concerned about Group 2, aiming for an exemption in the Integrated Business Strategy (IBS) might still be feasible, but it will require some focused effort.
Here are a few tips:
Understand the Exam Pattern: Familiarize yourself with the exam pattern of IBS and the weightage of different topics. This will help you prioritize your study material.
Allocate Time Wisely: Dedicate a specific amount of time each day or week to study for IBS. Even if you’re focused on Group 1, setting aside a little time for Group 2 can ensure you’re not neglecting it completely.
Focus on Key Areas: Identify the topics in IBS that are crucial for scoring well. Concentrate on understanding these areas while keeping your main focus on Group 1.
Practice Previous Papers: If possible, solve previous years’ question papers for IBS. This will give you a clear idea of the kind of questions that are asked and where you can score higher.
Study Smart: Utilize resources like summary notes, video lectures, or revision materials for the topics you have already covered in classes. This can help you grasp the concepts quicker without extensive study.
Balance Your Schedule: Make sure that attempting to cover IBS doesn’t negatively impact your Group 1 preparation. Balance is key to managing both groups without overwhelming yourself.
Reach Out to Peers: Discuss with fellow students who are also preparing for Group 2. They might have valuable insights or materials that could help you prepare for IBS more effectively.
Ultimately, focus on what’s most important and keep your goals clear. If you feel taking a step back from Group 2 is necessary to succeed in Group 1, that might be the right choice for you. Good luck!
