I feel like I can’t find a job that isn’t going to underpay me and overwork in 2025.

I’m really struggling to find a job in 2025 that offers fair pay without the stress of excessive workloads. Meanwhile, my LinkedIn feed is full of people landing new roles, and it’s hard not to feel like I’ve somehow failed.

As a CPA with nearly 10 years of experience, it seems like all the opportunities either come with low compensation or overwhelming demands—often both. This job search has been exhausting and it feels like it’s been going on for months.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It sounds incredibly frustrating, especially with your experience as a CPA. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed during a job search, especially when it seems like everyone else is landing roles easily.

Remember that your skills and experience are valuable, and it can sometimes feel like a struggle to find a company that truly recognizes that. It’s not a reflection of your worth or capabilities—job markets can be tough and competitive, especially in certain fields.

Have you considered exploring different industries or roles where your expertise could be applied in new ways? Sometimes expanding your search parameters can lead to unexpected opportunities. Networking can also be a great way to uncover hidden job markets, so don’t hesitate to reach out to your professional connections or join relevant groups on LinkedIn.

Remember to take care of yourself during this process and try to stay positive. If you’re open to it, perhaps seeking a mentor or career coach could provide you with some fresh perspectives and strategies. You’re not alone in this, and things can turn around when you least expect it. Keep pushing forward; your next opportunity is out there.
