I couldn’t have picked a worse time to move towns, huh?

I really couldn’t have chosen a worse time to relocate, right? At 26, I’m still living with my parents in a town I’ve been wanting to leave for quite a while. It takes time to save up for a move, and I’m feeling the urgency to go. However, I’m feeling pretty anxious about my job prospects. I’m an EA currently working on my CPA, so I do have that going for me, I guess. It’s just a bit worrisome, especially since my hometown has a low cost of living, but salaries don’t seem all that different in cities.

  1. It definitely sounds like you’re in a tough spot right now, but it’s great that you’re thinking ahead and working towards your CPA! Moving can be really challenging, especially when you’re trying to balance job prospects and cost of living. Have you thought about exploring nearby cities that might offer a better job market without skyrocketing your living expenses? Networking or reaching out to local CPA firms could also provide some insights into opportunities. Remember, you’re not alone in feeling this way; many people face uncertainty when making big life changes. Just take it one step at a time—your determination will pay off in the end!
