I recently interviewed for an experienced position at a leading market maker (think JS, Optiver, Citadel) and got asked this classic question. I replied, “Because you’re the best. Just like everyone wanted to be part of Jordan’s Bulls, I believe you’re at the top of your game, and I’d love to be a part of that.” The interview went really well!
P.S.: I got the impression that the interviewer might have been a LeBron fan!
