Help regarding choosing teacher for accounts revision

Seeking Guidance for Accounts Revision and Exam Preparation

I attempted my first exam in January 2025 but didn’t succeed, scoring 150 overall (I was a science student previously). I struggled particularly in accounts with a score of 46 and didn’t do well in law, scoring only 22, despite my self-study efforts. I’m now looking to revise and practice questions for my upcoming exam in May.

  1. Can anyone recommend a good YouTube teacher for accounts revision?
  2. While I have a solid understanding of law concepts, I struggled with the writing aspect (my answers resembled board exam responses). How can I improve my writing, and where can I find helpful resources?
  3. Is it sufficient to complete every question in the ICAI module, ensuring I understand the concepts, to aim for a score of 70-80?
  4. Who is the best teacher for Economics?

I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions without judgment, as I’m not familiar with the options available to me. Thank you for your help! 🫣🙏🏻

  1. It’s great that you’re taking the initiative to revise and improve for your next attempt! Here’s a breakdown of answers to your questions:

    1. Accounts Revision on YouTube:
    2. A few popular teachers known for their accounts teachings on YouTube are Ravi Kumar and CA Rachana Ranade. They provide clear explanations and practical examples which may be helpful for you.

    3. Improving Writing Skills for Law:

    4. To enhance your writing, practice writing your answers in a structured format (introduction, body, conclusion) similar to an exam setting. Consider resources like CA coaching books, and practice papers available on the ICAI website. You can also look for law writing workshops or online courses that specialize in exam technique.

    5. Completing ICAI Module Questions:

    6. Yes, working through the ICAI module questions comprehensively is a good strategy, especially if you understand the concepts. Ensure you also refer to past exam papers to familiarize yourself with the exam format and types of questions typically asked. Aim for both understanding and practice.

    7. Best Teacher for Economics:

    8. For Economics, consider looking into CA Rachana Ranade (she covers Economics as well) or CA Neeraj Arora, both of whom have a good reputation for their clear teaching and content for CA students.
