Financial Reporting or Taxation Exam?
Hi everyone! I’m currently weighing my options between the Financial Reporting and Taxation exams. While I perceive Financial Reporting to be somewhat easier, I’m leaning towards taking a more challenging exam this June so that I can tackle Financial Reporting later in December. What do you think I should choose for my June attempt? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you’re weighing your options carefully! Both Financial Reporting (FR) and Taxation have their challenges, so choosing the right one depends on your strengths and your study preference.
If you feel more confident in FR and believe you could tackle it more easily later, then maybe you should take on the challenge of Taxation for the June attempt. Taxation can be quite complex and often requires a solid understanding of legislation and regulations, which can take time to master.
However, consider how much time you’ll need to prepare for each exam and your overall study schedule. If you think you can handle the difficulty of Taxation now and still have time to revise for FR later, that could set you up well for December.
Ultimately, it might also be helpful to reflect on your long-term goals and career interests. If taxation aligns better with your future aspirations, that might be a solid reason to choose it for the June exam.
Whichever you choose, make sure to create a detailed study plan to help you stay on track! Good luck!
