Forecasting QBO Projects

What is an Accounts Payable Audit?

Looking for QBO Project Forecasting Software

I’ve been on the hunt for software that can provide project forecasts based on QuickBooks Online (QBO), but I haven’t had any luck finding one. Does anyone have recommendations? We have estimated revenue and costs for our projects, and my executives need weekly cash flow forecasts organized by project. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. It sounds like you’re looking for a specialized solution to generate cash flow forecasts based on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) project data. While QBO offers some reporting features, it may not provide the granular level of forecasting you need.

Here are a few options you might consider:

    1. Excel or Google Sheets: You can export your project data from QBO and use Excel or Google Sheets to create a customized cash flow forecast. This can be tailored to meet the specific weekly forecasting needs of your executives.

    2. Forecasting Software: There are third-party tools that integrate with QBO and provide more advanced forecasting capabilities. Some popular options include:

    3. Fathom: Offers reporting and forecasting tools that can pull data from QBO, allowing you to create more detailed project forecasts.
    4. Spotlight Reporting: It provides visual insights and the ability to forecast cash flow by project, which might suit your needs well.
    5. Float: This is specifically designed for cash flow forecasting and integrates with QBO. It allows you to plan and project cash flows in real-time.

    6. Custom Development: If your needs are highly specific, you could consider working with a developer to create a custom solution that pulls data from QBO and gives you the forecasting insights you require.

    7. Community Recommendations: Consider reaching out on QuickBooks community forums or other professional networks. Other users may have found effective solutions tailored to project-based forecasting.

Make sure to review the features of any tool you consider to ensure it meets your forecasting needs. Good luck!
