Navigating Post-Internship Decisions: Should You Open Up to Your Manager?
As I approach the conclusion of my internship, I find myself in a bit of a conundrum that many recent graduates may relate to. Having just completed my undergraduate degree, I was all set to embark on my master’s studies this fall. I secured my spot at my dream university, enrolled in classes, and even committed to a hefty tuition payment, fully anticipating a smooth transition into grad school life.
During this journey, I was fortunate enough to land a spring internship, which I believed would be a stepping stone toward my academic future, as internships are often a prerequisite for students. However, as I delved deeper into the realities of the job market, my plans began to shift dramatically. With employment opportunities appearing far more enticing and robust than I anticipated, I decided to defer my acceptance for one year.
