Finally Out of Inter Loop After 5 Attempts!
I cleared my Foundation with 232 on my first attempt, but when it came time for my Inter exams in November 2022, I wasn’t ready at all. I kept telling myself that I would pass eventually, so I considered five attempts to be the minimum I could take.
With the Inter exams being online, I neglected studying and attending lectures. I got caught up with a bad group of friends and spent my time watching anime and playing PUBG instead. I ended up sitting for both groups without any preparation and scored 231 in each. I thought, “No problem, I’ll just focus on one group in May 2023 and definitely pass.” But when the results came in May and November 2023, I only got 185 and 194, respectively, with scores of 40 in Cost and 59 in Law.
I plan to share my study strategy soon, along with my reaction on results day as a source of motivation for myself.
Just wanted to document this here for future reference. Sorry if my English is poor—I was feeling demotivated while watching my friends succeed. I deleted PUBG and Instagram and distanced myself from friends who pressured me to focus on games instead of studies.
In May 2024, I studied hard and finally passed, thanks to ICAI for granting me grace marks in Accounts. In September 2024, I felt confident I would pass, but once again, I failed due to low aggregate scores, with Cost hitting a 40 again.
By January 2025, I only had about 50 days to prepare, so I adopted a new study approach. And finally, I did it! I passed—scoring 161, with 61 in Cost, 48 in Audit (14 in MCQs), and 50 in FM. I’m thrilled to be out of this loop!
