I’m curious to hear from current or former BlackRock employees working in Front Office roles. A recent job posting for the position of Global Head of Macro Research (at the MD level) at BlackRock advertises a base salary of $260k-350k. While I know bonuses are typically part of the compensation package, I would have thought that individuals at this level within BlackRock would be aiming for a total compensation (TC) of over $1M.

Can anyone shed light on whether employees at BlackRock receive significant bonuses that bring their total compensation well above their base salary, or are my expectations of +$1M TC unrealistic? Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
