Do they really have a preference for girls in IB?
I was having a conversation with a friend who is interested in breaking into Investment Banking, but he doesn’t attend a target school. He mentioned that he wishes he were a girl because then he would receive more attention. I know that tech companies like Google have affirmative action policies that give preference to girls, but do big investment banks also give preferential treatment to women of color like tech companies do? Assuming the individual has a competitive GPA, I am just curious about this aspect.
