Looking for Affordable and Fast Options for 10 Accounting Credits
Hi everyone! I’m seeking recommendations for where I can obtain the remaining 10 Accounting credits I need. I currently have 11 but need a total of 21 for my CPA. Unfortunately, there’s no room in my MBA program to fit these courses in, as I’ve already chosen a finance focus and am nearing graduation. I’m considering options like community colleges or any other affordable and straightforward alternatives. Thanks in advance for your help!

It sounds like you’re in a bit of a crunch for those Accounting credits! Here are a few options you might consider:
Community Colleges: Many community colleges offer online Accounting courses, which can be both affordable and flexible. Check out schools in your area or ones that offer online programs. Look for accredited colleges to ensure the credits transfer.
Online Universities: Institutions like WGU (Western Governors University) or SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University) offer Accounting courses that can often be completed at your own pace.
Local Universities: Sometimes, local universities allow non-degree students to enroll in courses. You could reach out to see if they offer any accounting classes that fit your timeline.
Micro-credential Programs: Some universities or organizations may have short-term, intensive courses or programs that provide the necessary credits quickly.
CLEP Exams: If you have a strong understanding of accounting principles, you might consider taking CLEP exams in accounting. Passing these exams can earn you college credits without the hassle of traditional class attendance.
Online MOOCs: Platforms like Coursera, edX, or similar can offer introductory accounting courses. While they may not provide direct college credits, some partner institutions may allow you to earn credit through their courses for a fee.
Make sure to confirm that any courses you choose are accredited and will count towards your CPA requirements. Good luck!
