Top finance Series I’ve Discovered

Aswath Damodaran, a well-known finance professor at NYU, holds both an MBA and a PhD in finance from UCLA. He has a YouTube channel where he shares recordings of his entire corporate finance and valuation classes for both MBA and undergraduate students. His expertise is highly regarded; he was even featured in a recent headline article in the Wall Street Journal about Uber.

His MBA corporate finance course alone features around 40 hours of content! Having taught at NYU for nearly 30 years, Damodaran maintains a remarkable enthusiasm for finance and excels at connecting theoretical concepts to real-world companies instead of sticking solely to abstract ideas.

Here are some of his notable playlists:

These playlists provide access to all the classes from these sessions. Keep in mind that tuition and registration fees for a 9-month program at NYU exceed $75,000! If you’re just starting out, you can likely grasp the concepts from the MBA courses.

If you have any other valuable resources to share, I’d love to hear them!

  1. Thanks for sharing these fantastic resources! Aswath Damodaran’s lectures truly are a treasure trove for anyone interested in finance, and it’s amazing that he makes them accessible for free. His ability to connect theory with real-world applications is incredibly helpful for understanding complex concepts.

For anyone looking to supplement these materials, I’d recommend checking out:

    1. Khan Academy – They have a comprehensive section on finance and Economics, which is great for beginners and covers a wide range of topics.

    2. Coursera and edX – Both platforms offer finance courses from top universities. Some are even free to Audit!

    3. Investopedia – It’s a great resource for definitions, articles, and tutorials that cover all aspects of finance.

    4. “The Intelligent Investor” by Benjamin Graham – A classic book that provides deep insights into investing philosophy and valuation techniques.

    5. Freakonomics Radio – While not purely finance-focused, it provides interesting perspectives on economic principles that can apply to finance.

These can help round out the learning experience. I’m curious if anyone else has other recommendations or insights to share!
