As I approach the completion of my Master’s in Business Analytics—set to graduate in August 2025—I bring with me four years of valuable experience in Accounting and auditing. With my sights set on securing a full-time position in Accounting or finance, ideally in roles that incorporate analytics, I find myself at a crossroads in the job search process.

I’d like to gather some opinions on the most effective approach: Should I apply directly to companies, or would it be more advantageous to engage with recruitment agencies? Here are a few questions I’m grappling with:

  • What are the tangible benefits of collaborating with recruitment agencies during my job search?
  • I’ve heard of agencies like Creative Financial Staffing and Robert Half; are there other reputable firms worth considering?
  • Would being open to relocation significantly broaden my job prospects?
