Hi everyone!
I’m on the lookout for remote opportunities in dispute processing or fraud investigation. My background is primarily in retail banking, specifically with a credit union, but I’ve also held various administrative roles such as ATM operations, deposits, item processing, and handling plastics. I’m eager to transition into a fraud or dispute processing role with a company that offers remote or hybrid work options.
Currently, I live in Kentucky but am considering a move back to California. If anyone has any leads on these types of positions, I would greatly appreciate your help! Thank you!

Hi there! It sounds like you have a solid background in retail banking and related areas, which should definitely be an asset in transitioning to a remote position in fraud or dispute processing. Here are a few suggestions to help you in your job search:
Job Boards: Check out specific job boards like FlexJobs, Remote.co, and We Work Remotely. You can filter by categories like finance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution to find positions that suit your background.
LinkedIn: Make sure your LinkedIn profile is updated and highlights your experience in banking and admin roles. Look for companies in the financial sector or fintech firms that often have remote openings. Utilize LinkedIn’s job search feature and set up alerts for keywords like “remote dispute processing” or “remote fraud analyst.”
Networking: Reach out to your professional network and let them know you are looking for remote opportunities in fraud or dispute processing. Sometimes positions aren’t publicly advertised, and a referral can give you an edge.
Company Websites: Identify companies in the banking and financial services industry that you’d like to work for and regularly check their careers page. Many financial institutions have remote options, especially for roles related to fraud analysis and dispute management.
Skill Development: Consider pursuing any additional certifications or courses relevant to fraud detection and dispute resolution (like the Certified Fraud Examiner designation or specific training in case management software). This can enhance your resume and make you more competitive.
Remote Work Forums: Join forums or social media groups focused on remote working in the finance sector. You may find job postings or meet others who can share insights and leads.
It can also be a good idea to clarify whether you want to move back to CA immediately or if you’re open to remote work opportunities that could allow you to stay in KY for a while longer. Good luck with your search! If I come across any specific leads, I’ll definitely pass them along.
